N.D. Corn Harvest Inching towards Completion



For the week ending Sunday, there were 3.7 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 21% very short, 44% short, 34% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 24% very short, 46% short, 29% adequate, and 1% surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 1% very poor, 3% poor, 34% fair, 60% good, and 2% excellent.

Corn harvested was 96%, ahead of 89% last year, and well ahead of 69% for the five-year average.

Sunflowers harvested was 91%, ahead of 81% last year, and well ahead of 71% average.

Pasture and range conditions rated 4% very poor, 25% poor, 45% fair, 24% good, and 2% excellent.

Stock water supplies rated 10% very short, 39% short, 51% adequate, and 0% surplus.
