The Non-Profit Corporation Agricultural Land Acquisition Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet on July 6, 2026, in LaMoure, North Dakota, to review a proposed agricultural land acquisition plan and discuss matters related to farmland ownership and management.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at the LaMoure County Courthouse. Committee members, state officials, and interested stakeholders are expected to participate in discussions regarding agricultural land acquisition activities and related proposals.
North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring will welcome attendees and provide opening remarks to the committee. The meeting will also include a review of relevant state laws connected to agricultural land acquisition matters.
One of the primary agenda items involves the review of a proposed acquisition plan submitted by the American Foundation for Wildlife (AFW). Committee members will examine the details of the proposal and discuss its potential impact and compliance with applicable regulations.
Following the presentation, a question-and-answer session will allow committee members to seek clarification and gather additional information related to the acquisition plan. This process is intended to support informed discussion before any decisions are made.
Members of the public will also have an opportunity to provide comments during the meeting. Public participation remains an important part of the review process, allowing community members and interested parties to share their views and concerns.
After discussions and public comments conclude, committee members will conduct a roll call vote regarding the proposal and any recommendations that may result from the review.
