The Sheila and Robert Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth at NDSU has announced its 2022-23 Faculty Fellows. The fellows are a group of NDSU faculty who will educate and engage students, conduct policy-relevant research and participate in outreach activities to further the Challey Institute's mission.
Fellows are selected through a competitive application process open to all NDSU faculty. The fellows program reflects the Challey Institute's commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration on ideas of consequence. The 2022-23 Faculty Fellows represent seven NDSU departments and four NDSU colleges.
"Fellows make important contributions to the Challey Institute's mission by exploring issues surrounding opportunity and flourishing and helping us reach student and constituents across campus and departmental divides. I can't wait to start working with this outstanding group," said John Bitzan, Menard Family Director of the Challey Institute.
The 2022-23 fellows are:
- David Hong, associate professor of accounting
- Fariz Huseynov, professor of finance
- Chau Le, assistant professor of civil, constructing, and environmental engineering
- Stefanie Meyer, director of academic programs and assistant professor of practice in public health
- Dragan Miljkovic, professor of agribusiness and applied economics
- Andrea Smith, senior lecturer of business law
- Jeremy Straub, assistant professor of computer science
- Rachel Thompson, assistant professor of accounting
The Sheila and Robert Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth aims to advance understanding in the areas of innovation, trade, institutions and human potential to identify policies and solutions for the betterment of society.
