For the week ending Sunday, there were 6.1 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 0% very short, 9% short, 80% adequate, and 11% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 0% very short, 7% short, 82% adequate, and 11% surplus.

Soybean condition rated 0% very poor, 4% poor, 33% fair, 57% good, and 6% excellent. Soybeans blooming was 40%, behind 53% last year and 50% for the five-year average. Setting pods was 2%, behind 12% last year and 11% average.

Spring wheat condition rated 0% very poor, 2% poor, 18% fair, 67% good, and 13% excellent. Spring wheat jointed was 92%, behind 99% both last year and average. Headed was 63%, well behind 92% last year and 91% average. Coloring was 6%, well behind 37% last year and 27% average.

Durum wheat condition rated 0% very poor, 1% poor, 15% fair, 79% good, and 5% excellent. Durum wheat jointed was 79%, behind 94% last year and 97% average. Headed was 46%, well behind 78% last year and 85% average. Coloring was 7%, well behind 27% last year, and behind 18% average.

Winter wheat condition rated 2% very poor, 4% poor, 16% fair, 67% good, and 11% excellent. Winter wheat headed was 98%, near 94% last year and 97% average. Coloring was 49%, well behind 72% last year, and behind 68% average. Mature was 17%, well behind 42% last year, and behind 28% average. Harvested was 2%, near 6% last year and 3% average.
