Recently, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) unveiled several important staff changes within its ranks, highlighting the ongoing evolution of its leadership structure.
Among the notable promotions is Carlton Bridgeforth, who has ascended to the role of White House Liaison in the Office of the Secretary, following his impactful tenure as Senior Advisor for USDA’s Research, Education, and Economics mission area.
Hunter Henderson steps into the position of Chief of Staff of the Farm Service Agency, bringing his vast experience as Deputy White House Liaison and a history of service with the administration.
Henderson's deep roots in agricultural communities and his veteran status with the United States Marine Corps add a unique perspective to his new role.
Alyssa Charney has been promoted to Senior Advisor for Farm Production and Conservation after her stint as the White House Director for Lands and Climate-Smart Agriculture.
Charney's return to the USDA marks a significant step in furthering the agency's climate-smart agriculture initiatives.
Victoria Maloch takes on the role of Chief of Staff for Marketing and Regulatory Programs, leveraging her extensive background in strategic communications within the USDA and her earlier policy roles in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Finally, Will Clement joins as Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications in the Office of Communications, bringing with him a wealth of experience in healthcare crisis communications from his time at Edelman and Ketchum.
These appointments underscore the USDA's commitment to strengthening its leadership to better address the dynamic challenges and opportunities within the agricultural sector.
