The North Dakota State University Langdon Research Extension Center (LREC) will host its annual field day on July 18th, in partnership with the Northern Canola Growers Association.
The event will provide local farmers with the latest insights on agricultural challenges in northeastern North Dakota.
The day kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and doughnuts, followed by field tours starting at 8:45 a.m. Experts from NDSU will cover a range of topics, including pea and canola production, insect control, canola disease management, soil health, carbon credits, wheat breeding, and herbicide management.
Attendees will also receive updates on NDSU's woody plants breeding program and information about the Prevent Plant program from the Cavalier County Farm Service Agency. A complimentary lunch, sponsored by the NCGA, will be served at noon.
