2025 Soil Health Workshop Scheduled in Dickinson North Dakota

By Scout Nelson

Farmers, ranchers, and agriculture professionals are invited to attend the 2025 Soil Health Workshop, which will take place on September 17, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. MDT. The event will be held at the Biesiot Activities Center, located at 398 State Ave., Dickinson, North Dakota.

This all-day workshop will focus on ways to build, maintain, and protect healthy soils—one of the most important resources in agriculture. The event will bring together experts, producers, and researchers to share ideas, techniques, and tools that support soil health and sustainable farming.

Attendees can expect a variety of presentations, panel discussions, and hands-on demonstrations covering topics like cover crops, crop rotation, grazing management, and reducing soil erosion. These sessions aim to help producers improve soil structure, increase water retention, and boost long-term productivity on their farms and ranches.

The workshop also offers networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect with soil health professionals, extension agents, and other farmers facing similar challenges. Sharing knowledge and experiences can inspire practical solutions that are both environmentally friendly and economically beneficial.

Healthy soil is essential for growing crops, raising livestock, and preserving natural ecosystems. Events like this workshop play a key role in helping communities understand the value of soil care and adopt practices that protect it for future generations.
