Mark your calendar for Monday, July 22nd, as the 36th annual Pride of Dakota Day takes place at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot. This event offers a unique opportunity to savor local flavors, discover North Dakota-made products, and support the community.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring encourages fairgoers to "Enjoy lunch, learn about the Pride of Dakota program and receive a $10 coupon toward a Pride of Dakota purchase at the State Fair."
A mouthwatering $1 lunch, consisting of a grilled hot dog, potato chips, a cookie, and milk, will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. under the large tent near the fairgrounds' southwest corner.
The first 500 lunch attendees will receive a $10 coupon redeemable at any Pride of Dakota vendor on the fairgrounds. A list of vendors and their locations may be found at www.prideofdakota.nd.gov.
Proceeds from the $1 lunch benefit the North Dakota FFA Foundation. Eighteen Pride of Dakota vendors will be showcasing their products throughout the fair.
The Pride of Dakota program, administered by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, supports over 500 North Dakota companies through marketing, promotional events, and educational opportunities.
KMOT-TV is a proud event partner, and Cloverdale Foods, Northland Potatoes, Prairie Farms, and Pan-O-Gold Baking Co. sponsor the lunch.
