North Dakota State University Extension is now accepting registrations for the 2025 Extension Youth Conference (EYC). This year’s camp will take place from June 29 to July 2 at the Washburn 4-H camp and is open to all youth who have completed seventh grade.
The 2025 theme is “Level Up with Leadership”, and the camp will focus on helping young people grow their leadership skills by connecting their interests with their abilities. Over the four-day event, students will enjoy games, social activities, and learning sessions in a fun and relaxed environment.
The event is organized and led by the North Dakota 4-H Ambassadors, who have gained valuable experience from past conferences. The Ambassadors help plan the activities and guide their fellow youth throughout the event.
This year’s workshops include a mix of practical and creative sessions. One session will teach students how to succeed in job interviews. Another will focus on nutrition and cooking, helping students build skills for healthy living.
A robotics workshop will let youth explore engineering concepts in a hands-on way. Outdoor fun such as canoeing and swimming will also be part of the experience.
The keynote speaker will be Dallin Cooper, a humorist, storyteller, and entrepreneur. He has inspired audiences from small towns in the U.S. to international cities like those in China. Cooper encourages young leaders to challenge their views and learn how to communicate better. His work has been featured in Authority Magazine.
