New BSC Diesel Technology Program to Start in January

Bismarck State College will offer a Diesel Technology certification program beginning the Spring 2023 semester. This one-year certificate will give graduates the skills and qualifications to gain employment as truck, tractor, or heavy equipment technicians for dealerships, independent shops or national service centers.

Students in the BSC Diesel Technology program will receive hands-on training and gain fundamental skills for servicing, repairing and troubleshooting diesel equipment. The program consists of a guaranteed cooperative education internship with a BSC industry partner facility and a daily online synchronous class. Internships are available with RDO Equipment Co., Plains Ag., Butler and Gooseneck Implement in North Dakota as well as across the Midwest.

The BSC Diesel Technology program will begin in January 2023 and is now accepting applications. There is limited enrollment based on industry internship availability. Students must complete an ASE MAST Automotive Technical program or equivalent prior to being admitted.
