North Dakota State University (NDSU) Extension will host its annual Soil Water Workshop on January 22, with both in-person and virtual options available. The in-person session will take place at the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota.
This one-day event is designed for agronomists, producers, consultants, and industry professionals to learn about the latest updates in soil and water management.
Sessions will start at 8 a.m. and include key topics such as updated soybean fertility recommendations and understanding soil pH. Afternoon sessions will explore topics like cover crop water usage and an insightful presentation titled "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Using Tillage for Weed Control."
“The Soil Water Workshop is a great opportunity to learn about recent advances and updates to soil, water, and fertilizer management in North Dakota,” says Brady Goettl, NDSU Extension soil science specialist and event organizer.
The cost to attend, whether in-person or virtually, is $100. Participants are encouraged to register online at ndsu.ag/soilwater. Registration closes on January 13 for in-person attendance and January 20 for the virtual option.
Certified Crop Advisers attending the workshop can earn 5.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
