North Dakota State University's North Central Research Extension Center (NCREC) invites agricultural producers and professionals to its annual Field Day on Wednesday, July 17th.
This complimentary event offers a unique platform to explore the latest advancements and research findings in crop and forage production, directly from NDSU's leading researchers and Extension specialists.
The program commences at 8:30 am CDT with a pest clinic and informational booths, along with refreshments. Following opening remarks at 9:00 am, attendees will embark on a guided tour via trailers, visiting key research plots.
The tour will delve into various critical aspects of agricultural production, including:
- Cover Crop and Forage Management: Experts will discuss the advantages of cover crops for soil health and showcase ongoing forage production trials.
- Integrated Pest and Disease Management: NDSU specialists will provide crucial updates on managing insect pests, soybean diseases, and effective weed control strategies.
- Emerging Technologies in Agriculture: Attendees will witness firsthand the latest advancements in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and agricultural robotics, presented by NDSU researchers. A live demonstration of Case IH equipment will also be showcased.
