The North Dakota Farm Bureau (NDFB) is dedicated to fostering the next generation of leaders in agriculture. To this end, the NDFB is offering several scholarships valued at $1,000 each, catering to high school students, undergraduates, and those passionate about pursuing a career in agriculture.
The NDFB's scholarship program is diverse, with five distinct categories designed to support a broad range of students, these includes:
- A scholarship for college students majoring in agriculture-related fields.
- An exclusive NDFB family member scholarship.
- A scholarship for high school seniors planning to enroll in any agriculture-related post-secondary education.
- The Becki Palmer Scholarship, celebrating high school seniors' academic and leadership excellence.
- The latest addition, the NDFB Student Volunteer Scholarship, offers $2,500 to a high school senior demonstrating exceptional community volunteer service. This scholarship emphasizes the value of community involvement and rewards students who join NDFB as student members.
The selection for these scholarships is based on various criteria, including academic performance, leadership skills, and community involvement.
The NDFB Student Volunteer Scholarship, in particular, employs a point system, allowing students to gain additional points by actively participating in NDFB as student members.
These scholarships represent NDFB's commitment to supporting education in agriculture, acknowledging the importance of nurturing young minds who are keen on shaping the future of farming and agriculture.
