When it comes to wheat production, North Dakota took the top spot in the United States in 2020, closely followed by Kansas and Montana. These states showcased their strength as significant contributors to the nation's wheat supply.

A select group of six states surpassed the impressive milestone of producing over 100 million bushels of wheat in 2020. Joining North Dakota, Kansas, and Montana in this achievement were Washington, Idaho, and Oklahoma, demonstrating their substantial agricultural prowess.

An impressive 22 states yielded over 10 million bushels of wheat, emphasizing the widespread cultivation and importance of this vital crop.

Notably, North Dakota and Kansas stood out as the true powerhouses, accounting for approximately 33% of the total wheat production in the United States in 2020. These states serve as pillars of the industry, providing essential support to the nation's breadbasket and playing a crucial role in the production of various food products.
