The North Dakota State University (NDSU) Saddle and Sirloin Club will host the 99th annual Little International Livestock Show on February 14 and 15, 2025, at NDSU’s Shepperd Arena. Known as "Little I," this event is the largest student-led activity on campus, drawing participation from over 300 students who exhibit their skills and enthusiasm for agriculture.
The event features a variety of competitions, including livestock showmanship classes for beef, dairy, sheep, goats, and swine. Additional contests such as ham curing and public speaking provide opportunities for students to demonstrate their expertise.
This year’s theme, “Growing Dreams, Harvesting Success,” emphasizes the students’ commitment to agriculture and the industry’s lasting impact on North Dakota.
A key highlight of the Little International is the recognition of the Agriculturist of the Year. This award celebrates individuals who have significantly contributed to the state’s agricultural community. For the 99th event, the honoree will be celebrated at a banquet on February 14 at the Avalon Events Center in Fargo. Tickets for the banquet are $25, with a discounted rate of $20 for K-12 and NDSU students. Banquet tickets can be purchased by contacting Sierra Nagle via email or phone.
The Saddle and Sirloin Club, which organizes the Little International, is dedicated to fostering agricultural education and leadership. Through hands-on experiences and community involvement, the club enables members to gain practical skills in livestock management, public speaking, and advocacy. With over 300 active members, the club plays a vital role in promoting agriculture at NDSU and beyond.
