KernzaCon 2025 is set to bring together farmers, researchers, food companies, and supply chain leaders to explore the impact and future of Kernza, the first commercially available perennial grain in the United States. The conference will highlight Kernza’s environmental benefits, research progress, and its growing role in food production.
Kernza is known for its ability to reduce erosion, retain water, and boost soil health by increasing organic matter. Kernza stays in the ground year after year, reducing the need for annual tillage. Its environmental value is matched by its market potential, with food producers using it in products like bread, pasta, beer, and baked goods.
KernzaCon 2025 will take place June 10–11, with a full schedule of presentations, poster sessions, receptions, and lunches provided on both days. An optional afternoon tour will be offered on June 11 for those interested in learning more about Kernza production in the field.
Registration Details:
- General registration: $200 before May 20; $250 from May 21 to June 2.
- Graduate student rate: $100 before May 20; $150 after.
- Registration closes June 2 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.
