On Feb. 21, Senator John Hoeven will convene a meeting with the Red River Retention Authority (RRRA) Board of Directors to discuss priorities for the upcoming Farm Bill, including programs the RRRA utilizes to support water management and flood protection efforts.
Later that day, Hoeven will tour Packet Digital's new battery manufacturing facility, which is supported by a $8.5 million Navy research contract that Hoeven worked to secure for the company to develop smart batteries, chargers and power systems for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The batteries being produced in Fargo will help extend flights times for unmanned aircraft, which would support a variety of missions including tracking and countering unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).
