The North Dakota Department of Commerce is excited to announce the Creamery Assistance Grant. Designed to bolster the agricultural sector, this initiative also aims to create jobs and push economic progress in the state.
With a funding pool of $250,000, the department has the flexibility to award this grant either to a single recipient or share it among various deserving candidates. The decision will rest on the strength of the proposals and their alignment with the state's developmental vision.
The primary objective of this grant is to provide financial support to creameries, be it established ones or newcomers, that have actionable plans to foster economic and agricultural development in North Dakota.
While all creameries registered within the state are eligible, preference will lean towards those presenting detailed business plans that clearly outline their current and projected operations, anticipated results, and compatibility with state aspirations. A special emphasis will be on ventures that significantly contribute to agriculture and the broader economy.
Those looking to benefit from this grant can submit their applications by Sept. 25, 2023, until 5:00 pm CST. These applications, which should not exceed ten pages, need to provide essential details about the applicant, their primary contact, and the grant amount requested.
All applications are to be forwarded to Shayden Akason via email at sakason@nd.gov.
