The North Dakota State University’s (NDSU) Carrington Research Extension Center (CREC) is excited to announce its annual row crop tour on August 21. This event is open to farmers, agriculturalists, and NDSU Extension staff interested in the latest agricultural practices.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a new start time compared to previous years. The tour wagons will leave the yard at 9 a.m., and the program will conclude by noon, followed by a lunch sponsored by the North Dakota Corn Utilization Council, North Dakota Soybean Council, Northarvest Bean Growers Association, and the National Sunflower Association.
During the tour, attendees will receive valuable information on various crops, including corn, soybean, dry bean, and sunflower. Topics to be covered include agronomic practices, disease and weed management, fertility, and precision agriculture techniques. Expert speakers from NDSU Extension, CREC research scientists, and a specialty dry bean market specialist will provide the latest updates and research findings in these areas.
Additionally, the tour offers a great opportunity for Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs) to earn three continuing education units (CEUs).
This event is an excellent chance for those in the agricultural community to expand their knowledge, stay updated on the latest practices, and network with peers. With a mix of field tours and expert presentations, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of crop production and management.
