Producers and agricultural professionals from the western Dakotas and eastern Montana are invited to attend the 2025 Land and Livestock Forum, hosted by North Dakota State University Extension. The event will be held on January 15 at the Biesiot Activities Center on Dickinson State University’s campus in Dickinson, North Dakota.
This year’s forum combines the Diversity, Direction and Dollars Forum with the Agriculture Livestock Forum to create a comprehensive event addressing challenges and opportunities in agriculture.
Keynote Speakers
Two distinguished keynote speakers will headline the event:
Amanda Radke, The Heart of Rural America podcast host, will share her insights on maintaining agricultural profitability and fostering a diverse food system.
Carley Garner, a well-known commodity market analyst, will discuss strategies for managing price risks in volatile commodity markets.

Attendees will gain actionable strategies from expert presentations, including:
- Darrell Oswald: Implementing the Five Soil Health Principles
- Josh Hammond: Managing soil pH challenges effectively
- Charlie Lim: Tackling weed herbicide resistance and stewardship
- Steve Saunders: Understanding the impact of invasive species like Ventenata
- Logan Vandermark: Integrating technology into livestock production systems
The event will address topics like soil health, herbicide resistance, cost-effective practices, and innovative tools to enhance productivity and sustainability in farming and ranching.
Event Details
Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. MST. The $30 fee, payable at the door, includes all materials, lunch, and refreshments. CEU credits will also be available.
