NDSU honors dedicated staff at biennial support conference

North Dakota State University Extension and Research Extension Center recently hosted its biennial support staff conference in Fargo, where staff members reaching significant service milestones were honored. The event, which takes place every two years, included recognitions for achievements from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2024.

This year’s celebration saw a diverse group of employees from various departments being acknowledged for their dedication and service. Those recognized included:

  • Five Years of Service: Staff from Agriculture Communication, Agriculture Budget Office, and various county extensions including Sheridan, Ward, McKenzie, and others. Notable mentions include Blaine Erovick, Diane Pennington, and Summer Blumhagen.
  • Ten Years of Service: This category featured employees from the Extension Pesticide Program, Plant Sciences, and other county extensions. Among them were Lise Alves, Heather Tomlinson, and Angela Scott.
  • Fifteen Years of Service: Honorees included Cindy Cross from the North Central Research Extension Center and Cassie Dick from the Hettinger Research Extension Center.
  • Twenty and Twenty-Five Years of Service: Long-standing contributors like Joan Opp and Melanie Hesch were recognized for their two and two and a half decades of service respectively.
  • Thirty Years of Service: Kim Neprash and Cindy Olson were applauded for their three decades with NDSU Extension.
  • Forty-Five Years of Service: A special mention was made for Donna Vandenburg from the Grant County extension for her remarkable 45 years of commitment.

The event highlighted the individual contributions of these staff members and the collaborative spirit and commitment within the NDSU community towards agricultural and educational advancement.

The recognition serves as a testament to the dedication of NDSU’s staff in supporting the university’s mission and contributing to local communities.
