North Dakota State University Extension is hosting a free webinar for individuals interested in learning about tactics used by scammers and how they can improve their knowledge of online security to better safeguard their personal and financial information. The webinar is offered via Zoom.
The virtual webinar, The Power of Prevention: How to Safeguard Yourself Against Cybercrime, will be held on June 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 am CDT. The webinar is free to attend but individuals must register.
Ally Armeson, Military and Veteran Program Director at Cybercrime Support Network (CSN) will present. CSN is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to serve individuals and small businesses impacted by cybercrime by mobilizing them to do three things: recognize, report and recover. Armeson will discuss understanding and responding to cybercrime, social media scams, common tactics used by scammers, how to protect yourself on social media platforms and how to build a foundation of security to protect your personal and financial information.
