The Commodity Councils and Agricultural Associations of North Dakota will hold a joint meeting on Monday, November 17, starting at 10 a.m. at the Bismarck Municipal Country Club, located at 930 N. Griffin Street, Bismarck.
The meeting will bring together agricultural leaders, experts, and policymakers to discuss current developments, market outlooks, and upcoming initiatives impacting North Dakota’s agriculture sector.
The session will open with a welcome address and call to order at 10:00 a.m., followed by Commodity Group Reports beginning at 10:20 a.m. Attendees will break for lunch at 11:30 a.m.
At 12:30 p.m., Tom Bodine, Deputy Commissioner of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, will provide key program updates.
Shortly after, Jeb Williams, Director of the North Dakota Game and Fish Department, will present on the proposed Land Enhancement Program, focusing on environmental conservation and sustainable land use practices.
At 1:15 p.m., Matt White, Assistant Vice President of Agricultural Products at Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF), will give an update on rail transportation and logistics affecting farm commodities.
The 2026 Weather Outlook will be shared by Daryl Ritchinson, Director of the North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network (NDAWN) and State Climatologist, at 1:45 p.m.
This will be followed by a Market Outlook presentation at 2:30 p.m. by Frayne Olson, Professor and Crops Economist at North Dakota State University.
The meeting will conclude with a wrap-up session at 3:15 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to join the discussions and gain insights into future agricultural strategies and economic trends shaping the state’s farming community.
