Lacey Quail joins NDSU as livestock management specialist

Lacey Quail assumes the role of livestock management specialist at North Dakota State University's North Central Research Extension Center, bolstering the center's livestock programs with her extensive expertise.

In her new position, Quail will lead livestock management initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to provide comprehensive programming across north central North Dakota.

With a background in reproductive management and beef production from Texas A&M University, Quail brings valuable experience to her role. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in physiology of reproduction and a bachelor's degree in animal science, reflecting her dedication to advancing livestock management practices.

Quail expresses enthusiasm for her new role, emphasizing the importance of effective livestock management in agricultural success. She looks forward to collaborating with livestock producers and Extension agents to address key challenges and promote innovation in the industry.

Shana Forster, director of the North Central Research Extension Center, welcomes Quail's appointment, highlighting her expertise and passion for livestock management. Forster anticipates Quail's contributions will enhance the center's efforts to support North Dakota's producers and drive progress in the livestock industry.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Quail enjoys baking, attending cattle sales, hiking, and indulging in her hobby of driving her antique pickup truck.
