At the Autonomous Nation Conference this Tuesday in Fargo, Lt. Gov. Tammy Miller is set to highlight North Dakota's pioneering role in the realms of autonomous agriculture and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). In addition to this, she will unveil a major achievement related to the Grand Farm’s capital campaign.
A significant highlight of the event will be Miller's announcement related to Grand Farm’s capital campaign, which has seen notable developments since its inception. The campaign was set into motion in February 2022, thanks to a generous $10 million matching grant from the North Dakota Department of Commerce, a decision sanctioned by the state legislature.
By May 2022, Grand Farm unveiled its plans for the Innovation Campus near Casselton. This project saw further momentum last October when Governor Doug Burgum, along with other regional dignitaries, inaugurated the campus's groundbreaking ceremony.
The key events at the Autonomous Nation Conference are Miller's speech scheduled for 8:30 a.m., followed by the big announcement at around 9:50 a.m. CT Tuesday, Aug. 29. All these happenings will take place at the Microsoft Commons building, located at 4550 42nd Ave. S., Fargo.
