Governor Kelly Armstrong recently issued a statement following President Donald Trump's address to a joint session of Congress, where the President highlighted his administration's early successes. According to Governor Armstrong, the President has made significant strides in multiple key areas since taking office.
“President Trump outlined the significant progress our nation has made during his six short weeks in office to secure our borders, unleash U.S. energy and manufacturing, project strength on the international stage and bring common sense back to America,” Armstrong commented. He noted the tangible impacts of these policies, including decreased illegal immigration, increased investments in U.S. manufacturing, and enhanced governmental efficiency, all of which contribute to a stronger national posture on both domestic and international fronts.
Armstrong specifically pointed out the benefits to North Dakota, stating, “Illegal immigration is down, investment in U.S. manufacturing is up, and North Dakota is among the states that stand to benefit most from the president’s focus on American innovation, common-sense regulations and government efficiency.”
The Governor’s remarks underscore the administration's focus on revitalizing American industries and securing the borders as pivotal for economic growth and national security. He expressed optimism about the continued positive effects these policies will have on North Dakota and the United States as a whole.
The statement followed President Trump’s comprehensive address, which aimed to rally support from both the public and Congress for his administration's policy agenda, focusing on critical issues such as border security, economic revitalization, and international diplomacy.
Governor Armstrong’s endorsement of the President's address reflects a strong alignment with federal leadership on policy goals that impact both state and national levels, emphasizing a cooperative effort to sustain America’s progress and prosperity.
