ADD Fund Meeting Focuses on Ag Growth

The Agriculture Diversification and Development Fund Committee will meet at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC office located at 1640 Burnt Boat Drive.

The committee will begin the meeting with a call to order, followed by a business session. Members will review meeting minutes, financial reports, and other business matters before hearing project presentations.

Several agriculture and meat processing businesses will present funding requests. At 1:30 p.m., Carnis Meat Processing LLC of Bismarck will share details about its $2,385,000 total project and request $500,000 in funding.

At 1:50 p.m., Travis Dukart of Belfield will present a project valued at $881,000 and request $350,000.

At 2:10 p.m., J and D Feeders LLC of Manning will present its $943,897 project and seek $406,280 in funding.

At 2:30 p.m., Hystad Ranch of Buchanan will outline its $1,329,700 project and request $500,000.

The committee will take a short break at 2:50 p.m.

The meeting will resume at 3:00 p.m. with Whiskey Barrel Meats LLC of Mapleton. The company will present a $260,000 project and request $203,450.

At 3:20 p.m., Smoke Wagon Meats LLC of Walhalla will present its $320,000 project and request $270,000.

At 3:40 p.m., committee members will discuss all proposals and make funding decisions. The meeting will end at 5:00 p.m.

The ADD Fund supports agriculture diversification and rural business growth across North Dakota. Through careful review of projects, the committee works to strengthen local agriculture, expand processing capacity, and support economic development in rural communities.
