Keen to explore the mysteries of soil health? North Dakota State University’s Dickinson Research Extension Center (DREC) is ready to explain it. On Sept. 20, experts will dive into topics such as root functions, microbial activities, nutrient cycling, and more.
Will start at 8 a.m. and wrapping up by 2 p.m., the event will have Kurt Froelich, a prominent NDSU Extension agent, taking the helm as the emcee. The morning buzz starts at the Biesiot Activities Center in Dickinson, with sessions led by experts like Douglas Landblom, Lindsay Malone, and Justin Jacobs, to name a few. Clair Keene, an NDSU Extension agronomist, will also be joining the action via a Zoom presentation.
Come noon, attendees can enjoy a meal courtesy of Bravera Bank and Trust Grill Team before heading off to the afternoon session in Manning. Here, the sessions will delve deeper into soil dynamics and plant relationships, featuring speakers like John Kempenich.
For those interested in hands-on experiences, field sessions will be up and running every 20 minutes, showcasing demonstrations like intercropping seed separation.
