Minot's State Fair Center is gearing up for a special event on October 27-28: the Pride of Dakota Showcase. Visitors can expect to encounter a vast selection of North Dakota's unique creations. From gourmet food to books, wine, apparel, pottery, and even children's items, there's something for every shopper.
Commissioner Doug Goehring highlighted that around 110 companies would be showcasing their products. These offerings will provide a snapshot of the state's rich craftsmanship and innovation.
The showcase timings are 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Both admission and shopping bags are complimentary, thanks to sponsorship by the Bank of North Dakota College SAVE Plan.
Retail store representatives should also mark their calendars. As Goehring notes, this is an excellent opportunity for them to sample products firsthand and even strike up business partnerships with local ventures.
For those who miss out on this event, additional showcases are on the horizon. There's one in Alerus Center, Grand Forks on Nov. 3-4, and Holiday Showcases in Scheels Arena, Fargo (Nov. 17-18), and the Bismarck Event Center (Dec. 1-2).
An initiative of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Pride of Dakota program extends its support to member companies by offering cooperative marketing events, educational sessions, and even exposure at major marketing events. Presently, the program takes pride in its 500 member companies from North Dakota.
