NPPGA's Winter Meetings Begin Tuesday



The transition to a new Northern Plains Potato Growers Association (NPPGA) chairman and the presentation of the NPPGA Meritorious Service Award (MSA) will take place on Tuesday evening at the association's annual banquet at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.

The chairman's gavel will pass from Pingree, N.D., process grower Matt VanRay to Hoople, N.D., seed grower David Fedje. In addition, Jeff VanRay will receive the Meritorious Service Award.

These are the signature event for the week, but there is a lot more going on, reports the East Grand Forks-headquartered association. The meeting continues Feb. 16 at 9 a.m. with the International Crop Expo at the Alerus Center, and it continues Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. View the program at https://cropexpo.com/.

In the afternoon of Feb. 16, the North Dakota Certified Seed Growers will hold its annual meeting. In addition, Minn-Dak Potato Growers Co-op will hold its annual meeting at the Alerus Center, while the Red River Valley Fresh Potato Growers Co-op annual meeting will be held at the Canad Inn.
