NDSU's 49th harvest bowl celebrates agricultural excellence

By Scout Nelson

North Dakota State University (NDSU) is hosting its 49th annual Harvest Bowl on November 10th and 11th, a celebration of the region's agricultural prowess and the hard work and dedication that make North Dakota's heartland thrive. The event is a unique and anticipated event.

The festivities kick off with a grand dinner and awards ceremony at Fargo's Delta Hotels by Marriott on November 10th. The following day, attendees will be treated to the high-energy Harvest Bowl football game, where NDSU takes on Southern Illinois in a thrilling display of athletic prowess.

But the Harvest Bowl isn't just about fanfare and football. It's also about education and recognition. This year, participants can look forward to enriching sessions and tours on the NDSU campus, where they'll gain insights into the latest agricultural research and innovations spearheaded by NDSU, the state's beacon of knowledge as a land-grant university.

Over the years, the Harvest Bowl program has shone a spotlight on more than 3,000 standout agriculturists from 53 North Dakota counties and 10 counties in western Minnesota. It's also paved the way for the future, awarding over $1.5 million in scholarships to NDSU student athletes with roots in agriculture.

Dan Wogsland, a trailblazer in North Dakota's agriculture and business, has been awarded the prestigious Agribusiness Award for his outstanding contributions.

Join the Harvest Bowl celebration this year, hosted by the NDSU Foundation, to honor the agricultural spirit that defines and sustains the region, and register on their website or call directly at 800-279-8971 or locally at 701-231-6800.
