North Dakota State University Extension is setting the stage for two crucial discussions centered around the latest in grazing technologies.
As the agricultural community shows increasing interest in precision livestock tools, such as virtual fences, water monitoring systems, and smart tags, these talks are timely.
They offer a golden opportunity for ranchers to dive deep into the potential these technologies hold for enhancing grazing management.
Despite the promising advantages, North Dakota ranchers have shown caution, primarily due to initial costs and integration challenges with existing operations.
Acknowledging these hurdles, NDSU's upcoming events are designed to demystify these technologies. Specialists from NDSU, alongside industry experts, will share insights and practical experiences, aiming to address ranchers' concerns and curiosities.
Scheduled discussions are as follows:
- Thursday, March 28 – 1 p.m. at the Valley City Eagles
- Tuesday, April 2 – 1 p.m. at the Menoken Farm
