NDSA Celebrates 94th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Watford City

NDSA Celebrates 94th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Watford City

This September, the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association (NDSA) invites its members to return to Watford City, the very place of its inception. Spanning from September 28-30, the 94th Annual Convention & Trade Show promises an array of sessions, networking opportunities, and moments of fun.

A highlight of this year's convention is the most expansive trade show in NDSA's history, presenting 64 booths. These sessions are not just about showcasing; they are also arenas for learning. Members will actively discuss policy issues, diving deep into subjects like immigration workforce reform, the Bureau of Land Management rule, vaccine efficacy, and many more.

Designed to offer global insights, the speaker showcase will focus on topics such as the worldwide meat overview, the modern face of agriculture, and the much-discussed Prop. 12.

For those unfamiliar with NDSA's roots, it was in 1929 when local cattlemen, led by Andrew Johnston, convened in Watford City. They united against the rampant cattle rustling. This meeting marked the birth of NDSA, which then expanded its mission to unite and uplift the state's beef cattle industry.

A fresh feature of this year's convention is the “Hoofin’ It Home” 5K Beef Walk/Run scheduled for Saturday morning at the Rough Rider Center. Participants from different categories, children, men, and women, have a chance to clinch prizes for their performance.

The convention’s annual banquet will shine a spotlight on dedication and excellence. Recognition will be given to long-time employees and outstanding members who have made significant contributions to the industry.

For those interested in being a part of this convention, remember to pre-register by September 14.
