Fedorchak Highlights National Wins in One Big Beautiful Bill

By Scout Nelson

Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak supports the One Big Beautiful Bill, a large legislative package that aims to help American families, workers, small businesses, farmers, and energy producers. The bill includes more than $1.7 trillion in government spending cuts and focuses on practical solutions for national growth.

The bill is strong on energy and agriculture. It stops over $500 billion in Green New Deal-style spending, ends electric vehicle mandates, and boosts domestic mineral development. For farmers, the bill improves crop insurance, increases reference prices, and renews full expenses for equipment and facility upgrades.

For families, the bill increases the Child Tax Credit to $2,500, raises the standard deduction, allows savings accounts for newborns, and gives seniors a new Social Security tax deduction. These changes help families keep more of their income.

Small businesses benefit from a permanent 23% Small Business Deduction, which helps about 67,000 businesses in North Dakota alone. The bill also supports 100% immediate expensing for upgrades and increases estate tax exemptions to make passing farms and ranches easier for families.

Border and national security are key areas. The bill provides nearly $150 billion for border protection and removing criminal illegal immigrants. It increases military pay and improves military housing, health care, and equipment.

Finally, the bill brings practical reforms like ending student loan bailouts and eliminating federal funding for controversial surgeries on minors. It adds a small fee for electric vehicles and introduces tax relief for those exercising Second Amendment rights.
