Farm Rescue Celebrates 1,000th Case, Supports Tornado-Affected Family

Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization based in North Dakota providing free assistance to farm families in times of illness, injury, or natural disasters, is about to complete its 1,000th assistance case. This significant milestone will be marked by helping the family whose farmstead was devastated by an EF3 tornado earlier this spring, causing extensive damage to buildings, grain storage, and equipment. Farm Rescue will provide equipment and volunteers to assist the family in harvesting their winter wheat crop as a gesture of support.

Farm Rescue will organize a special ceremony on June 27, 2023, at the farm in Palestine, IL, to mark the 1,000th family milestone. Representatives from major sponsors will be there, as will Founder & President Bill Gross, Farm Rescue volunteers, and employees.

Since assisting its first family in 2006, Farm Rescue has expanded its services to aid more rural families in crisis across eight states, including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Reaching this remarkable milestone is a testament to the collective efforts of dedicated volunteers, staff, donors, and sponsors who embody Farm Rescue's patriotic and compassionate mission.

Farm Rescue is still accepting applications for help across its entire 8-state service zone. Farm families facing serious illness, injury, or natural calamities are invited to apply online at https://farmrescue.org/

or by calling 701-252-2017. Referrals are also appreciated.
