Dicamba Over-the-Top Product Training Online

Dicamba Over-the-Top Product Training Online

By Scout Nelson

The North Dakota Department of Agriculture reports that dicamba over-the-top products for soybeans are now registered and available in the state. These herbicides are restricted-use, meaning only certified pesticide applicators may apply them.

“All applicators must be certified and take the additional online training,” said Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring. “The training will benefit applicators by teaching them the techniques to use the technology properly so that these products will be available for future use.”

The training sessions fulfill state requirements, and attendees will receive a certificate of completion. Applicators need to attend only one registrant-specific training session to apply any of the dicamba products. The products included are Engenia by BASF and Stryax by Bayer.

BASF Engenia training is available online at https://www.engeniaherbicide.com/training.html. Bayer Stryax training can be accessed at https://bayerstewardshiptraining.com/. These courses ensure applicators learn proper application methods, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance to protect crops, surrounding fields, and the environment.

For further information about dicamba training requirements, applicators may contact Richard Weisz, Pesticide Inspector Specialist, at 701‑328‑1508. Completing the training allows producers to safely and legally use these herbicides on soybean crops while maintaining compliance with state laws.

By completing the training, applicators help protect the long-term availability of dicamba products. The sessions provide practical knowledge, reinforce safe application techniques, and support responsible use of herbicides in soybean production.
