Call for Entries: 2023 North Dakota Junior Beef Expo

The North Dakota Stockmen's Association is currently accepting entries for the 2023 North Dakota Junior Beef Expo (NDJBE), set to take place on June 23-24 at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot.

The NDJBE is a two-day event designed for youth interested in the beef industry. It features various activities such as breeding heifer, market steer, and market heifer shows, showmanship contests, supreme champion selections, a silent auction, and opportunities for networking. Participants will have the chance to compete, learn, and forge new friendships with like-minded individuals.

To register, interested participants can access entry forms, rules, and other relevant information on the North Dakota Stockmen's Association website or the North Dakota Junior Beef Expo Facebook page. For further inquiries, NDSA Special Projects Director Jade Koski can be contacted at (701) 223-2522 or jkoski@ndstockmen.org.

The deadline for entries is June 1, with the option for late entries until an additional fee of $10 per head. Exhibitors will receive a T-shirt and supper on Friday, although availability cannot be guaranteed for late entrants.

The NDJBE coincides with the Ward County Shootout, scheduled for June 23. The event is sanctioned by the North Dakota Junior Point Show Association, providing participants with an opportunity to earn points for their show records.
