North Dakota State University Extension faculty and staff were honored for their years of service at the 2026 Extension Spring Conference held in Fargo. The recognition highlighted the dedication and commitment of employees who support education, agriculture, and community programs across the state.
Staff members were recognized for service milestones ranging from 5 to 40 years. These awards reflected the long-term contributions of individuals working in areas such as agriculture, youth development, nutrition, communication, and community wellness.
Those recognized for 5 years of service included several agriculture agents, educators, and program coordinators who supported local communities through Extension programs. At the 10-year milestone, professionals in research, education, and youth development were also honored for their continued efforts and leadership.
Employees reaching 15 and 20 years of service were recognized for their strong commitment to program delivery and community impact. Their work helped improve education, support families, and strengthen agriculture practices across different counties.
Long-serving staff members were also honored at higher milestones. Individuals reaching 25 and 30 years of service continued to provide valuable knowledge and experience in their fields. Those with 35 and 40 years of service demonstrated long-term dedication and leadership within Extension programs.
These recognitions highlighted the important role Extension staff play in supporting farmers, youth programs, and local communities. Their work focused on providing research-based information, improving agricultural practices, and helping individuals and families build better lives.
The service awards also showed the strength of Extension programs and the value of experienced professionals who continued to guide and support communities. Their efforts ensured that knowledge, education, and resources remain available to people across North Dakota.
