Public Lands Ranchers and Federal Agency Administrators Gather in Reno on July 11, 2023

Public lands ranchers and federal agency administrators are set to gather in Reno, Nevada on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, for an event hosted by Good Grazing Makes Cent$. This unique opportunity allows stakeholders to engage in face-to-face discussions with top agency leaders, focusing on crucial topics such as the proposed Public Lands Rule by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), potential grazing regulation changes, and the benefits of USDA's risk management and disaster aid programs for public lands

At the event, attendees will have the chance to ask questions and voice their concerns directly to influential figures like BLM Senior Policy Advisor Errol Rice and USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Administrator Zach Ducheneaux. Rice, with his extensive background in agriculture, ranching, and renewable energy, guides the BLM's outreach and policy on grazing and restoration investments.

Ducheneaux, hailing from a multi-generation ranching family on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation, brings invaluable expertise to agricultural policy, loan programs, and conservation efforts.

The morning session will feature David Hillis, Principal Engineer at Turnipseed Engineering, LTD, who will share vital insights on water right analysis and management. Turnipseed Engineering specializes in Nevada Water Rights Engineering, supporting local ranchers with water rights management and mapping services.

The event, held at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino, will commence at 8:30 a.m. (PDT). For registration, online streaming links, and a detailed schedule, visit goodgrazing.org/high-desert-to-the-hill. This event is organized in collaboration with the U.S. Cattlemen's Association, coinciding with their Summer Business Meeting.

Don't miss this chance to shape the future of public lands grazing and contribute to the conversation that matters most to ranchers and federal administrators.
