The Fargo Holiday Inn is set to welcome the 111th Annual Convention & Industry Show of the North Dakota Grain Dealers Association on January 14-15. This event expects around 500 attendees, including grain elevator managers, farmers, industry professionals, suppliers, and their spouses.

The convention is a blend of educational sessions, business meetings, and a comprehensive trade show featuring 73 companies serving the grain industry.

The convention will feature speakers discussing Grain Industry Affairs, Sustainability in the Commercial Grain Industry, Employee Hiring and Retention, and Elevator Automation developments.  Key topics include Max Fisher from the National Grain & Feed Association, Mindy Montgomery from CoBank, Kim Burnes of Land O Lakes Inc., and Jim Gales of Gales Design and Consulting, LLC.

The association's governance structure includes a nine-member board consisting of elevator managers and merchandisers from across North Dakota. The current team comprises Jeremy Burkhart (Minot) as president, Dan Mostad (Berthold) as first vice president, Levi Hall (Williston) as second vice president, and several directors from various regions.

The executive team includes Stu Letcher (Fargo) as executive vice president, supported by Odie Scheel (office manager), Dave Nelson (safety and health director), Zach Ciak (senior safety specialist), and Sue Benson (office assistant).

The annual convention is a crucial platform for industry professionals to learn, explore, and network on the latest trends and challenges in the grain industry, ensuring they stay updated on the evolving agricultural landscape.
