The North Dakota Department of Agriculture has announced a meeting of the Dakota Prairie Grasslands and Grazing Associations Working Group. Scheduled for 9 a.m. MT on Monday, Dec. 30, the meeting will take place at the Stark County Veterans Pavilion, 801 5th Ave. W, Dickinson, ND. 

This working group focuses on the management and sustainability of North Dakota’s grasslands, reviewing ongoing projects and discussing funding allocations. The meeting aims to provide updates on various initiatives and plans for future developments. 

Agenda Highlights: 

  • Call to Order and Introductions (9:00 a.m.): The meeting will begin with participant introductions. 
  • Forest Service Update: The group will receive an update on current Forest Service activities. 
  • Grassland Grazing Grant Projects: Each association will report on the progress of ongoing projects. 
  • Discussion on Project Overages: Members will discuss any budgetary overages in current projects. 
  • Current Biennium Funding: The group will review funding allocations, which total $1,000,000. 
  • Future Developments (11:30 a.m.): Discussions will focus on upcoming opportunities and initiatives. 
  • Adjournment (12:00 p.m.): The meeting will conclude at noon. 

This gathering provides an opportunity for stakeholders to share updates, address challenges, and collaborate on enhancing the sustainability of North Dakota’s grasslands.
