The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is actively looking for ideas to help improve honey bee health. Commissioner Doug Goehring shared that the department will provide funding for this crucial research.
According to Goehring, applicants may submit proposals for one or more of the following five research priorities:
• Tropilaelaps mites
• Varroa mites
• Honey bee Nutrition
• Nosema
• Genetics and Breeding
Both new projects and extensions of past projects are welcome.
