Celebrating NDFB Week from March 10-16, 2024, NDFB is delighted to launch an art contest for 4th and 5th-grade students, fostering creativity and emphasizing the vital role of agriculture in our communities. The contest encourages participants to envision themselves as future farmers, crafting portraits depicting their farming attire and surroundings with crops or animals they aspire to cultivate.
Judged in two categories – Creativity and Originality of the Theme, and Quality of Artistic Composition and Overall Design – each grade will have a winner receiving a $50 prize. Winning artworks will also be showcased in NDFB's member newsletter, Focus. Submissions are accepted until March 8, 2024.
The NDFB Week theme, "Cultivate Your Future: Nurturing Growth, Sowing Innovation," aligns with the recently introduced Student Membership category, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a sustainable and innovative future in agriculture.
NDFB Week pays tribute to the agricultural contributions of county Farm Bureaus across the state. The week-long celebration includes various events, from agricultural trivia to "Free Meat Monday," hosted by county Farm Bureaus, showcasing the agricultural spirit and fostering community engagement.
