Mastering showmanship - 4-H small animal clinic in Williston

Get ready for an exciting opportunity to advance your skills in animal showmanship at the Williams County 4-H Small Animal Fitting and Showmanship Clinic! Scheduled from May 3 to May 5, 2024, this event will take place at the Upper Missouri Valley Fairgrounds, located at 519 53rd St E., Williston, ND.

Co-sponsored by the Williams County 4-H Livestock Committee and NDSU Extension Williams County, the clinic offers detailed sessions on fitting and showmanship for various small animals. The clinic begins with swine on May 3, continues with goats on May 4, and concludes with sheep on May 5.

A participation fee of $200 is required, with an additional $50 per species for those wishing to engage with more than one animal type. It’s essential to register by May 1 to secure your spot at this enriching event. You can register online via this link.

The clinic is designed to be a comprehensive learning experience, emphasizing biosecurity on the first day with demonstration animals on-site. For the remaining days, participants are required to bring their animals for hands-on sessions. Lunch will be provided daily from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm CDT.
