The North Dakota State University (NDSU) Extension from Sargent and Ransom Counties is organizing a Livestock Showmanship Clinic specifically designed for 4-H members. This event is scheduled to take place at the Sargent County Fairgrounds, located at 101 Green Ave SE, Forman, ND, from 4 PM to 6 PM CST on May 28, 2024.
This clinic is ideal for young 4-H members who are interested in learning more about showing livestock or who want to refine their showmanship skills in preparation for fair competitions. There is no cost to participate in this clinic, and no prior experience is necessary, making it accessible to all 4-H members regardless of their background in livestock showing.
Participants will have the opportunity to work directly with animals provided by the clinic, offering a hands-on learning experience. A parent or guardian must accompany each participant to ensure safety and provide support during the event.
To register for the clinic, attendees are required to be enrolled in 4-H Online. Detailed information and registration can be accessed by filling out the Google Form.
This clinic not only aims to enhance the agricultural skills of young individuals but also fosters a deeper connection to the community's farming traditions. It's a great opportunity for participants to engage actively in agricultural practices and learn from experienced professionals from NDSU Extension.
