Farm Credit organizations in western North Dakota have announced the allocation of 19 grants totaling $442,600 to support worthy programs that enhance the lives of local communities through the Rural Community Grant Fund. The fund, established as a collaboration between AgCountry Farm Credit Services, Farm Credit Services of Mandan, and AgriBank Farm Credit Bank, aims to assist communities affected by mineral development.
These grants will contribute to addressing vital community needs, including health, safety, and emergency services. The diverse range of projects funded includes advanced life support trauma simulators, medical simulation education and training, farm incubator tools and resources, firefighting vehicles, fire department buildings, mobile command units, mammography equipment, emergency radio upgrades, emergency sirens, fire trucks, hospital beds, police equipment, service vehicles, and the construction of a food pantry.
The Rural Community Grant Fund continues to accept applications from programs that align with the needs of communities impacted by expanded mineral exploration and production in western North Dakota. Interested parties can submit their applications through the respective websites of:
