North Dakota is now accepting applications for county fair resiliency grants. These grants help support the development of fairground infrastructure across the state. Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring announced the opening of the application process and encouraged eligible organizations to apply.
The grants are available to county agriculture fair associations or any group that manages a county fair in North Dakota. The funds can be used for planning, designing, or building projects that improve the fairgrounds and make them stronger for the future.
This grant program is made possible by the 69th Legislative Assembly, which approved $1.5 million for county fair development.
Each approved project can receive up to $100,000. However, the North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA) has the authority to award less than the amount requested, depending on the number of applications and available funds.
The goal of this program is to make county fairs more resilient and well-prepared for future use. These fairs play an important role in local communities by promoting agriculture, education, and fun events for all ages. Strengthening their infrastructure helps ensure they can continue to serve future generations.
The complete application details, along with the grant guidelines, are available on the NDDA’s website: https://www.ndda.nd.gov/county-fair-resiliency-grant.
All applications must be submitted in electronic form by 4 p.m. Central Time on Friday, May 30, 2025. Each applicant will be notified in writing about the result of their application.
