Celebrate Agriculture at Steele County 4H Days

By Scout Nelson

The 2026 Steele County Achievement Days is set to take place at the Hope American Legion in Hope, North Dakota, celebrating local youth, agriculture, and community pride. The two-day event showcases 4-H members’ hard work and achievements through exhibits, contests, and shows open to the public.

Day One will begin with Static Interview Judging at 2 p.m., a closed event where 4-H members present their exhibits and projects to judges. Later in the evening, the community is invited to enjoy the Parade of Champions at 6:30 p.m., an open event where young participants are recognized for their efforts and accomplishments.

This ceremony highlights the spirit of teamwork, learning, and leadership central to the 4-H program.

Day Two will feature the Rabbit, Poultry, and Livestock Show at the 4-H Barn and outdoor arena, beginning in the afternoon.

Visitors can enjoy viewing animal exhibits and cheering on participants as they present their projects. The day will conclude with the Steele County 4-H Raffle Drawing, offering prizes and community fun.

Organizers encourage all residents to attend and support the county’s youth as they display their agricultural knowledge and skills. Those planning to participate or attend should note that requests for disability accommodations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event.

For further information or registration details, contact Coralie Kainz at coralie.kainz@ndsu.edu or 701-524-2253.

The annual Achievement Days event continues to unite families, friends, and community members while celebrating the next generation of agricultural leaders in Steele County.
