Upcoming Webinar to Assist Exporters to China
North Dakota Ag Connection - 06/27/2022

USDA Foreign Agriculture Service China will host a webinar on July 6 at 8 p.m. EST with the General Administration of China Customs (GACC) targeting U.S. food producers interested in exporting to China. The webinar will explain how to complete the self-registration procedures required under Chinese GACC's Decree 248. It will also provide an opportunity for food exporters to ask GACC questions about Decree 248.

This webinar will only address the process for self-registration. Self-registration is primarily required for processed food products. To distinguish whether your product must self-register under Decree 248, or if it must be registered by the competent U.S. authority, please review the latest GAIN report here (Introduction to Facility Registration Under Decree 248, June 2, 2022 https://bit.ly/3OmJN4R). The webinar will not address U.S. competent authority registration.

The webinar can accommodate 500 participants. Please use this link https://bit.ly/3tYgVb9 to register by June 28 and submit your questions for GACC.

You will need a Zoom account to register. If you do not have one already, you may follow the prompts to 'Sign up free'. If you have difficulty, please contact atoguangzhou@usda.gov). Simultaneous interpretation is available for the webinar. There is no fee to join. Questions pre-submitted with webinar registration will be answered by GACC during the webinar. GACC will answer additional questions following the presentation as time permits.

For more information about Decree 248, review this GAIN report on Decree 248 here. It also includes links to previous reports and a table of HS codes.

If you have questions about the webinar, please contact atoguangzhou@usda.gov.
