Warren Swenson from Beulah won the NDFB Young Farmer and Rancher Discussion Meet at the Farm and Ranch Conference, January 27-28, 2023 in Bismarck. The Discussion Meet is an exchange of ideas and information from participants on a predetermined topic.
Swenson won $4,000 and will compete at the 2024 AFBF Discussion Meet in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“I’m looking forward to preparing for the national competition,” said Swenson. “I’m also excited to learn about all the different ways Farm Bureau supports our farmers and ranchers on a state and national level.”
Swenson is a fourth-generation land owner who also works in precision agriculture.
“I’ve always enjoyed engaging in conversation, especially when it is about agriculture,” said Swenson. “It’s something I do on a daily basis when working with farmers and ranchers across northwest and north central North Dakota.”
The other four finalists were Madison Bodine from Voltaire, Austin Visser from Reeder, and Sam Rebel from Douglas.
